Product Overview
Our Si3N4 Gas Oven Igniters utilize advanced Silicon Nitride ceramic technology to provide a superior alternative to traditional metal or Silicon Carbide (SiC) ignition systems. Designed for modern gas appliances, these igniters heat up rapidly to ignite gas burners without the need for high-voltage sparks, ensuring a quiet, safe, and consistent flame.
Engineered for durability, the Silicon Nitride element is highly resistant to thermal shock and corrosion, making it the ideal choice for residential ranges, commercial convection ovens, and industrial gas burners.
Key Features & Benefits
Rapid Heat-Up: The Silicon Nitride element reaches ignition temperature (1000°C) in just 2 to 3 seconds, significantly faster than traditional Silicon Carbide igniters. This ensures immediate gas ignition and reduces the risk of gas buildup.
Exceptional Durability: Si3N4 is mechanically stronger and more resistant to thermal shock than SiC. It withstands the rapid heating and cooling cycles of oven operation without cracking or warping, offering a service life 3x longer than standard ceramic igniters.
Silent Operation: Unlike spark ignition systems that create electrical arcing noise, our hot surface igniters operate silently, providing a smoother user experience.
High Corrosion Resistance: The ceramic material is chemically inert, resisting degradation from combustion byproducts, grease, and cleaning agents found in kitchen environments.
Energy Efficient: These igniters draw low current and heat up quickly, consuming less energy per cycle compared to older ignition technologies.

How It Works
Activation: When the oven or burner is turned on, electrical current flows through the embedded heating resistor inside the Si3N4 ceramic.
Glow: The element rapidly heats up and begins to glow (hot surface ignition).
Ignition: The gas valve opens, and the gas flows over the hot ceramic surface (>800°C), causing immediate combustion.
Safety: The igniter often acts as a flame sensor; if the element does not glow or the flame is not detected, the gas valve closes to prevent leaks.
Applications
Our Si3N4 igniters are compatible with a wide range of gas-fueled equipment:
Home Appliances: Gas ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, and gas dryers.
Commercial Kitchen Equipment: Restaurant convection ovens, pizza ovens, and steamers.
HVAC Systems: Gas furnaces and commercial boilers.
Industrial Burners: Small-scale industrial heating applications requiring reliable ignition.

Installation & Handling
Fragility: Although Si3N4 is tough, the ceramic element should be handled with care. Do not drop or apply excessive mechanical force.
Cleanliness: Ensure the element is free of oils or grease before installation to prevent surface contamination during the first heat-up.
Electrical Check: Verify that the oven's voltage matches the igniter's rating (e.g., 120V vs 240V) to prevent burnout.
